Due to what the wine industry is doing to Canberra, especially with Riesling and Shiraz, it is becoming a really interesting place to visit, for reasons besides just politics!.
Today Jeremy tastes two Rieslings from Canberra by Helm, both 2018 vintage.
Helm Classic Dry Riesling 2018:
Nose - lavender, white flowers and candied citrus rind
Palate - juicy and generous with length. A beautiful balance. Delicious
A fine wine that would score high silver, pushing gold medal quality
Helm Premium Riesling 2018 :
Nose - like walking through a rose garden, pure perfume.
Palate - layers of texture, mouth filling richness - a glorious wine
A master piece, 96/97 points
