Blanc de Noirs is a French term literally meaning “white from blacks” and is white Champagne made from the juice of black-skinned grapes. The two varieties used are Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
A Blanc de Noirs is typically characterised by cherry, currant and strawberry aromas and flavours. Due to the flavour and texture of a good Blanc de Noirs, suggested food pairings include: mackerel, lobster, duck, Middle Eastern dishes and Sushi.
