Chianti Classico is the heartland of the Chianti wine region which stretches between Florence and Siena, Italy. Chianti Classico is a DOCG wine and shows unique distinctiveness and characteristics. The blend is 80% of Sangiovese, the red grape typical of this area, 20% of other grapes which include native grapes such as Canaiolo and Colorino, as well as other international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
Chianti Classico's characteristics are a distinct ruby red colour, floral notes for its aroma and a harmonious, dry and sapid flavour with a good level of tannin.
