Colombard is a French variety and is a fairly neutral grape that is primarily used for blending with other grape varieties. Colombard is also grown in South Africa, the US, Mexico, Australia and Thailand. These wines are often described as mouth-watering when blended with Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay. On its own, Colombard is known as a refreshing, easy drinking white wine.
