Dolcetto (pronounced dol-CHET-oh), which means "little sweet one" in Italian, is a black wine grape originating from the Piedmontregion. Whilst the name means sweet, it is actually more commonly a dry red wine.
With a fruity taste and low acidity, Dolcettos are distinguished by their black cherry and liquorice flavours with a bitter, almondy finish. It pairs well with pasta and pizza dishes.
