Fiano (“fee-ah-noh”) is a white Italian wine grape variety mainly grown in the hills surrounding Avelino in the Campania region in Italy. It is also grown in parts of Australia and Argentina. Fiano is primarily used as a varietal and can be described as being nutty and textured with floral and honeyed notes, spice and tropical fruit flavours. Food pairings: tomato based dishes, chicken, pork, veal and seafood aswell as certain cheese based dishes.
