Petite Sirah (or Durif) is a variety of red wine grape primarily grown in Australia, California, France, and Israel. The rarity of Petite Syrah is due to its heritage of the Syrah grape and a nearly extinct grape called Peloursin, and its low planting numbers in the vineyards.
This grape variety has a deep colour with spicy, rich black fruit flavours and bold tannins. Food pairings: Meats, stews, braised and grilled meats as well as ribs, hamburgers and barbecue of all types.
