Sauvignon Blanc ("soh-vihn-yohn blahnk") is a white-wine grape that originated from the Bordeaux region in France, now successfully grown in emerging and established wine regions all over the world including Australia, Chile, Brazil, New Zealand and North America.
An easy drinking white wine with herbal flavours and high acidity, it can be described as a lean to a bountiful wine. Food pairings: Pasta dishes, white meats such as chicken or veal especially if accompanied by a creamy sauce or with spring vegetables such as asparagus and peas.
