Sparkling Shiraz is an Australian wine style. The process begins as a Shiraz using the Shiraz or Syrah grape variety on its first fermentation and Its secondary fermentation takes place in its bottle, or méthode traditionnelle. The Sparkling Shiraz style wine has been described as "uniquely Australian". Depending on producer, sparkling shiraz can be described as having flavours of ripe & sweet plums, red berry fruit (Raspberries and strawberries), dark fruit (Blackcurrants and blackberries), black pepper and chocolate. Food pairings: Dark Chocolate Mousse, Barbeque Ribs, Pork and a variety of breakfast dishes.
