Vermentino (“ver-mehn-tee-noh”) is a white wine grape which is widely planted in Sardinia, in Liguria and Corsica in Piedmont. It is also found growing in various locations around the western Mediterranean, north-western Italy and southern France. Vermentino is light to medium weight in body and can range from light and fresh to rich and textural. Food pairings: Seafood gumbo, calamari, rich and tomato based dishes and dishes that accentuate green and herbal flavours.
